Progressive Conservatives set Nomination Date for Point Douglas Candidate to be chosen by Members at April 27th Meeting

The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba is pleased to announce that nominations have closed for the constituency of Point Douglas and that a contested nomination meeting to choose the Progressive Conservative candidate for the Point Douglas by-election will take place on Thursday April 27th.

The nomination process was formally opened on February 10, 2017. The three candidates who submitted application packages and were approved by the Candidate Selection Committee are, in alphabetical order:

  • Tim Diack, a 29-year veteran of the Winnipeg Police Service;
  • Jodi Moskal, Vice-President of Moskal Electric Ltd., a journeyman electrician, and Past Chair of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce; and
  • Alexa Rosentreter, General Manager of Merit Motion Pictures and an active community volunteer in Point Douglas.

The nomination meeting will take place at the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre located at 45 Robinson Street in Winnipeg. Registration will be open from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The meeting will formally commence at 7:00pm and the winning candidate will be announced that evening.

Residents of the Point Douglas constituency who wish to cast a ballot at the Progressive Conservative nomination meeting must purchase a valid PC Manitoba membership no later than April 12, 2017.
