Rae Wagner brings a diverse background and a deep love for her community as the PC candidate for Burrows.
Rae’s first career was at Simplot Canada as a Plant Operator and member of the United Steelworkers Union. She had the distinction of being the very first female plant operator at Simplot. She was also the owner of a successful small business for 14 years.
She decided to return to school while balancing the needs of her family and business and successfully completed a Management Certificate and a Project Management Diploma at the University of Winnipeg. Upon graduation, Rae joined Manulife Financial as a Case Manager and later became an Account Executive. Currently, she is employed as a Case Manager in Absence Management with Morneau Shepell.
Rae is a mother of 3 children and is busy raising them with her husband of 13 years. She believes building a strong community is imperative to the success of the next generation. She has taken every opportunity to become involved with the local residents group, her school’s Parent Advisory Council and is currently Team Manager for her son’s hockey team.
She is a passionate Manitoban who believes in hard work and standing up for those who are not loud enough to be heard. Rae’s diverse life experience and desire to stand up for her community provide her with the skills needed to represent the people of Burrows in the Legislature. She is happy to be running as part of the PC team that will protect front line workers, improve our health and education systems, and provide tax relief to hard working Manitoba families.
