The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba is pleased to announce Alan Lagimodiere has been acclaimed as its candidate in the constituency of Selkirk for the upcoming election in April.
“Alan’s solid background in business is impressive. But he also has a variety of interests and experience,” said PC Leader Brian Pallister. “He has a strong interest in Aboriginal education and is a member of the Manitoba Metis Federation as well, so he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.”
Many area residents know Alan as the previous owner of Selkirk Veterinary Services in Selkirk. He has a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
Alan has resided in the Selkirk constituency for the past 30 years and was born and raised on a farm near The Pas. The importance of family is a large part of Alan’s life. Married for 38 years, Alan and his wife Judy have four children together.
The PC Party is continuing to build momentum across Manitoba, and has almost completed the nomination process for the entire province – far ahead of any other party.
The PCs have so far nominated 54 candidates in the 57 constituencies – 18 are women.
