In a 2010 throne speech, Greg Selinger’s NDP government promised that anyone who wanted a family doctor would have one by 2015.
Then, in November of 2015, Health Minister Sharon Blady quietly amended this promise.
The government changed its target so that people who can access nurse practitioners would count as having had that commitment fulfilled!
Just another broken promise from the Manitoba NDP.
A new Progressive Conservative government will get more doctors in Manitoba by establishing a Physician Recruitment and Retention program for Winnipeg and rural communities in the province.

Our PC government has submitted its response to the federal government on its proposed backstop and benchmarks for carbon pricing, Premier Brian Pallister announced today.
The response highlights the significant investments Manitobans have made in renewable energy and also notifies of the province’s decision to seek a legal opinion on its right to develop its own ‘made-in-Manitoba’ plan.
We want you to have the facts on how your PC government is going to save Manitoban families money when it comes to their power bills.
Along the way, we would like to clear up a few misconceptions out there on Efficiency Manitoba:
