Eileen Clarke has been nominated to represent the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba in the constituency of Agassiz in the next provincial election.

Clarke will replace retiring PC MLA Stu Briese, who has represented the riding since 2007.

“I look forward to building on the success and leadership of Stu Briese,” said Clarke. “I strongly believe in the vision and passion that Brian Pallister and his PC team have for this province. I look forward to being a strong voice and leader for the people of Agassiz.”

Clarke has a long history of serving her community. She was the mayor of Gladstone for eight years, as well as the vice-president of the Association of Manitoba Municipalities.

More than 1,200 members cast votes between four candidates in a tight race. Clarke secured the nomination on Saturday in Neepawa.
