Belinda Squance first moved into the West End a little over ten years ago, having just returned to Winnipeg from Dublin, Ireland where she was working with inner city youth. She quickly learned what amazing culture existed in the area thanks to its diverse population. Belinda has been committed to improving lives in the Minto area ever since.
Belinda graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and holds a Master of Arts in Global Studies from Providence Theological Seminary. She currently works as a consultant in the restaurant industry assisting clients with the setup and opening of new restaurants. Previously, Belinda worked as the Manager of the Ellice Café which she was able to serve the community, hire people with barriers to employment, and create a welcoming place for all to visit.
Dedicated to the community, Belinda has volunteered with the Community Research Hub, the Canadian Muslim Women’s Institute, the Canadian Cancer Society and a number of local community association events.
Belinda is proud to call Minto her home. As the community grows, she remains committed celebrating its beauty, diversity, and success. As part of the PC team, Belinda is eager to address the unique challenges facing Minto in a meaningful way with a better plan that offers a better future for our province.
