WILL YOUR MLA STAND ON PRINCIPLE OR ON POLITICS?

On June 9 at 4:30pm, a motion will be put before the Manitoba Legislature on whether the government should issue refunds to the thousands of motorists who were improperly ticketed for driving at or below the regular posted speed limit in construction zones where no workers were present and no safety was compromised.

Progressive Conservatives will unanimously support the motion, and hope it receives widespread support from all political parties, including NDP MLAs. The motion needs the support of just eight of the 36 NDP MLAs to pass.

Progressive Conservatives want all MLAs to stand on principle instead of politics, and take heed of the thousands of constituents who are patiently waiting for their refund. We're also encouraging regular Manitobans to make their voices heard and contact local MLAs, urging them to vote Yes for refunds for unfairly ticketed motorists.
