Biography:
With over a decade of experience in the Legislature, Peter George Dyck continues to work to make Pembina stronger than ever.
He was first elected to represent the people of Pembina is 1995 and was appointed as the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Education and Training. From 1999 to early 2010, he was appointed to the position of Caucus Chair.
Peter George brings with him a wide range of experiences in both the agricultural and business communities. The family business, Dyck Family Farms Ltd., specializes in grains and special crops. Peter George has also served on several boards, including the Winkler Credit Union, the Garden Valley School Division and as the conductor of his church choir for over 20 years.
Prior to entering politics, Peter George taught music in the Morden and Winkler elementary and high schools. Peter George and his wife Irene have one son, Patrick, and two daughters, Becky (husband John) and Shannon (husband Rob). They are also proud grandparents of Curtis, Ryan , Jayden and Isaiah.
