Biography:
Leanne Rowat was elected to the Manitoba Legislature in 2003 and has been one of the most active MLAs in Manitoba during her time in office. Leanne has held numerous critic portfolios during her time in office including: Culture, Heritage & Tourism; Aboriginal & Northern Affairs; Multiculturalism; and Communities Economic Development Fund.
Over the past four years, she has been a strong advocate for grandparents' rights, effective renewable energy and quality, accessible health care for Westman.
Leanne's community involvement has given her insight into her constituency's needs, as well as a keen understanding of the challenges the province faces. She is passionate about creating an economic environment that fosters growth and opportunity for our youth.
Leanne and her husband Brad live in Souris with their son and daughter.
